The Recruitment Start Up Tapping into Welsh Construction Potential

Recently at the Wales Start Up Awards, Trades Work Wales scooped up the Construction Start Up of the Year Award.

The company, established in 2019 and based in Cardiff, supplies tradespeople and skilled labourers to the construction sector.

Having spotted a gap in the market, where their competitors lacked the same level of experience working within the construction sector. Trades Work Wales have leveraged this insider knowledge to supply staff to the civil engineering arena, all the way up to multi-million-pound construction sites.

Speaking about their service, Trades Work Wales Director Colm Boston said;

“All of our tradesmen are accredited, time served and experienced individuals who have been stringently checked before they reach you. We will not send sub-standard tradesmen just to make up the numbers; all of our candidates take pride in their workmanship and strive for excellence. We focus on a personable relationship with our end users and workforce and customer service is at our forefront.”

Despite initial advice from Business Wales that their lack of experience in the sector would be a stumbling block. Trades Work Wales have proven themselves through persistence and as described by Director Colm Boston, “true grit and Welsh Pride”. Since February 2019, the firm has successfully placed over 300 people into work and looks set to hit their December target of 500.

Looking to the company’s future, the firm has plans to expand across the UK and abroad.

Colm Boston commented;

“We plan to open branches in England, Scotland and Ireland respectively and take on more internal staff to secure more work for the UK as a whole.”

Colm also recommended that any skilled workers looking for their next job should consider utilising Trades Work Wales to help them in the next stage of their career.
