A Job Fair held in Ruthin saw over 50 people come through the doors of the Ruthin Market Hall.
The fair was held on the 28th of June, with the aim of connecting people with a range of employers and showcasing the careers and job opportunities available within the county. A wide variety of employers exhibited, with both local and national organisations in attendance.
The event was organised by Denbighshire County Council’s Working Denbighshire Team who offer many elements of support such as life skills, confidence and motivation, training and courses, Job searching, CV writing and much more.
Working with local businesses and organisations, the Working Denbighshire programme is committed to supporting people who live in Denbighshire and helps people upskill and/or get into work.
Rachael Sumner-Lewis, Employer and Training Relationships Manager at Working Denbighshire said:
“It is great to have the support of such a wide range of employers, with over 15 nationally and locally recognised employers exhibiting at this latest fair.
All of the employers had vacancies locally, and it was brilliant to see local people come and discover the employment opportunities available to them”.
Councillor Jason McLellan, Leader of the Council and Lead Member for Economic Growth & Tackling Deprivation said:
“I am delighted at the success of this latest Job Fair. They are a great way for both employers and people who are looking for work to meet.
It is great that the local authority is able to deliver the Working Denbighshire service and to see so many of our residents benefit from the support it provides. I would like to thank them for all of their hard work”.
