CAVC Sending 12 Learners to the WorldSkills UK Finals

Twelve learners from Cardiff and Vale College are set to go against the best of the best in the country at the WorldSkills UK Finals.

The students will compete against regional winners of skills contests from across the UK in their discipline. Winners at the WorldSkills UK Finals then stand a chance of representing the UK at ‘the Skills Olympics’ – the international WorldSkills 2026 in Shanghai.

The CAVC finalists are:

  • David Morgan – Aircraft Maintenance
  • Owen Thomas – Automotive Body Repair
  • Belal Al Haka – Automotive Body Repair
  • Kyle Davin – Automotive Refinishing
  • Ben Williams – Automotive Refinishing
  • Miah Jenkins – Commercial Make-up
  • Remi Evans – Commercial Make-Up
  • Mihaly Zeke – Heavy Vehicle Technology
  • Joe Davies – IT Support Technician
  • Samuel Turato – Refrigeration
  • Marnie Gaskell – Restaurant Service
  • Travis Huntley – Wall and Floor Tiling

Cardiff and Vale College Principal Sharon James Evans said:

“We wish the very best of luck to the 12 of our learners who will be taking part in the WorldSkills UK National Finals this week. We are all extremely proud of you.
